Although the process of this work started with splitting a piece of timber in what seemed to be equal parts, it cracked naturally following it's inherent structure. By deconstructing and rearranging the material the fragments are set in relation to each other. What was once a single entity is now divided into fractions, but the way the pieces split tells the trunk's history, unfolding from a tiny seed into the mighty tree it eventually was becoming.
